About Me
I am a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Global Health, core faculty with the International Clinical Research Center (ICRC), and Associate Director for the UW Implementation Science Program. My research and mentoring focus on advancing the field of global mental health and the intersection with HIV and STI prevention specifically for adolescent girls and young women. In my current NIH- and industry-funded projects (e.g., R01MH138256, R01AI189297, R00MH123369), I use implementation science and behavioral science methods to evaluate and scale psychotherapy, HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and STI prevention service delivery models. I collaborate primarily with teams in South Africa and Kenya for this work. I am also Co-Director of the UW/Fred Hutch Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Behavioral Innovations Core. I received my PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington and my MPH in Health Behavior from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
