Sub-award funding has been granted to Dr. David Watkins by The American Heart Association via Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center for "Ejection Fraction as the Sixth Vital Sign for Critically Ill Patients with COVID-19: Improved triage through technology-enhanced point of care echocardiography."
Abstract:
Dr. David Watkins, MD, MPH, will serve as PI on this subcontract to the University of Washington and will take full responsibility for all aspects of the research conducted at the University of Washington. This will include (i) intellectual contribution to the design, conduct, analysis, and writeup of research activities relating to population health and implementation science, (ii) supervision of a research assistant at the University of Washington who will assist with data analysis, and (iii) remote mentorship of research Center fellows.
